Marsa Zayed, a landscaping project in Aqaba, Jordan

  • Year: 2013
Landscape design of urban expansion of the city of Aqaba, Jordan's strategic tourism. The project of urban green spaces in these neighborhoods has joined the enhancement of certain elements "significant" architectural and natural, such as the mosque, which will become the city's most important, the Club House, a meeting point of the community and the Wadi Rum valley among the granite rocks carved over millennia by the flow of the river during the rainy season, redesigned as a linear park. The choice of plant species took into account the Jordanian climate and poor irrigation.
The project promoted by Al Maabar, a company of the Emirates of Dubai, was developed by international collaboration of three studies: Franco Zagari Architects, Pan and associated MK Associates.
